Our Story
OWNER and HEAD CHEF, Luis Jara. Chef Jara was born in Cuenca, Ecuador, and moved to New York City in the 1980s to start his culinary career. Chef Jara began his first job in a French restaurant and moved on to an Italian restaurant. While in New York City, Chef Jara helped open multiple Italian restaurants as a head chef with the owner in a few locations in the city. In the mid-90s, an opportunity came up in Florida. Chef Jara helped open a few restaurants in Miami, Bal Harbor, and Weston, Florida. Later, in the early 2000s, Chef Jara went to Memphis, Tennessee, to help open another restaurant, where he met his wife, Iris Jara. After 20-plus years of experience in Italian cuisine, he aimed his goal to open his own restaurant with his wife and children. Chef Jara's dream came true on August 2019 in Onalaska Wisconsin
